CREATIVE CLOSEUP: UNDP Recovery and Peace Building Assessment Logo Development
Among the many areas under the jurisdiction of the United Nations Development Programme is conflict analysis and assessment where they identify and support national capacities in sustaining peace. The Recovery and Peace Building Assessment (RPBA), formerly known as Post-Conflict Needs Assessment (PCNA), is a joint approach of the United Nations, the World Bank and the European Union. Its purpose is to identify and address immediate and medium-term recovery and peace-building requirements while laying the foundations for the elaboration of a longer-term recovery and peacebuilding strategy in a country facing conflict or transitioning out of a conflict-related crisis.
When the program transitioned its name from PCNA to RPBA, Alamini Creative Group was asked to create a logo that conveyed unity, strength and trust. Alamini accomplished this with a design that features interlocking letters in various shades of blue, indicating reliability and responsibility.
