CREATIVE CLOSEUP: The McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research Customized Registration System

The McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research at New York University Silver School of Social Work is committed to creating new knowledge about the root causes of poverty, developing evidence-based interventions to address its consequences, and rapidly translating research findings into action. Their work requires that they host a large number of educational events each year, all with different partners and varying reporting requirements. The registration system it was using for these events was hard to navigate and did not provide the level of complex registrant and reporting customization needed. Although The Institute had outgrown the capabilities of the current system, replacing it with an off-the-shelf system would not provide the high-level functionality and customization they needed.

Alamini Creative Group strategized around The Institute’s needs and built a custom registration system that not only met those needs, but was developed with maximum flexibility for future expansion. The system ACG built is user-friendly, modern and engaging, and it provides a seamless registration experience for internal and external users. The system also features single sign-on integration, allowing users to register for events using the same login as used for another McSilver-related website. Furthermore, the new system provides McSilver with an easy-to-use and highly customizable administration and reporting experience, which was The Institute’s top priority.
